Inspiring Fifty UK 2021
--
On Monday 20th September on day one of London Tech Week it was an honour to be published in the Financial Times as one of the top 50 most inspiring women in UK Tech. It is truly wonderful to be named alongside so many trailblazers and leaders. On Monday we were invited to attend an event hosted by AccelerateHer and Inspiring Fifty where we heard from some great minds including Stephanie Boyce, President of the Law society and Hillary Clinton, former US secretary of state. The most wonderful part of the day was connecting with and meeting my fellow winners, it was the first large conference I had attended in person since CogX this past June.

Anushka Sharma founded Naaut, a tech and space innovation consultancy to provide a 360 approach to innovation strategy serving space agencies, startups, academia, AI accelerators, primes, and deep tech companies. She has advised the No 10 Policy Unit, NASA, Disrupt Space, ESA, BIOS among others.
As well as Naaut, Anushka co-founded the London Space Network (LSN) in January 2019, LSN organises monthly networking events across London to build and strengthen the UK space community.
Earlier this year, Anushka joined DiRAC, the UK’s High Performance Computing Facility as Senior Technical Programme Coordinator and is working across the convergence of HPC with artificial intelligence and machine learning at the intersection of industry, academia, startups and science.
Active in the Space and Technology ecosystems across the UK, Europe, and the USA, Nush actively champions diversity in STEM fields. Nush has been a mentor, subject matter expert and judge in many Space and startup hackathons over the past decade and supports young and mid-senior level professionals transitioning into STEM careers.
As a science communicator, you might hear her commenting on the radio about an upcoming SpaceX launch or discussing how space debris is being tackled by startups demonstrating different technologies or why recent missions to Mars matter today and in the future.
Anushka connects dots between people, technology and organisations in the fuzzy space of innovation especially now as mainstream interest in the space sector captures the imagination, so does the opportunity to inspire, create and build on the growing momentum this brings with Naaut.
